So.

Not expecting folks to play along anymore.  If I waited as long as it took, I'd die of old age and nothing new would ever get done.  No more standing at the shore expecting the tide to stay out because I thought it might be fun.  And it really is an apt metaphor.

I'll play my dryad games with the Sekrit Jooky Club where the best games happen anyway. 

Meanwhile, despite the demilitarized zone that is my main floor due to the ongoing kitchen renovation, still I'm managing to grab enough spare minutes here and there to get more fun work done.  Which means more freebies for folks that like playing with the same figures I enjoy working on. 

Today that's Loik again.

A little while back, a good friend of mine, to the intense shock of all of us who know him well, (some of you may know him as Xaa) went and made something very cool for "the enemy" (long story short, V4 isn't on his happy list and I tend to not ask him for anything involving her if it doesn't include him getting rewarded handsomely for the teeth-gritting).  Vines and leaves and dryadly goodness.  And then he gave it away to all and sundry for free, because he is Xaa and Xaa is good.  LOL!

Seeing this leafy confection, I coveted it for my favored children, the odd and sundry folk of Nursoda's creation.  Enough that a bargain was struck and it's now leaves and vines all over the place.  Anceata, Bong & Bonga, Eepo, Kali & Kelm, Loik and Vila all have their own versions of the Dryad Leaves.  Hell, he even went and did a set for poor little Aiko 3.  And he's not done.  There are a few more sets of vines waiting to sprout.

Of course, as is the natural order of things, when Xaa goes on a bender, I tend to follow.  Usually I'll follow in a big way and an orgy of textural accompaniment ensues.  This time, the scale will be smaller, at least for a while (the busy in the meat-realm is overwhelming right now) but should, once things settle down pop up with texture add-ons for the leaves and some of the skins. For now, Loik's got some new bark skins to go with his pretty vines and leaves.

Because it's us, everyone gets to play with the new toys.

Happy Halloween.  And lets see those dryads.  Everywhere. 

So a long ways back, Nursoda created a free figure named Reipus as a mount for his Teo figure.  This cute little mount critter has sat in my runtime quietly for years, gathering dust due to his lack of pretty skins, helpful poses and cool gear. 

Until just recently.

Recently, Skylab, a friend and fellow freebie instigator/creator and Nursoda fan contacted me and convinced me that I needed to come join the resurrected Slon Stranger thread (formerly a mainstay on the Old DAZ forums but down for a long while due to corporate stupid creating community drama and ruining a good many wonderful things).  One thing led to another and to make a long story short, Reipus came out of the corner, got dusted off and we made a few freebies for him.

It has kind of become a bit of Reipus Madness.  In a couple of days we coughed up a pack of skins, general poses, fancy poses and nose poses for the little guy.  And he's gotten more than a little cool all of a sudden.

But I think he could use some more stuff.

So I'm laying down a challenge. 

I challenge folks to make little freebie goodies for sweet little Reipus and post them for folks to find and use.  Pull your own little Reipus out of the dusty corner of your runtime and put your own personal spin on him then unleash it on the world. 

Go for it.

I know you want to at least a little bit.

Thanks to a message from Minyassa asking about an old texture pack of mine for Royloo's Battler, I found a few holes in the online collection of Wayii textures and filled them on Share CG. 

Alien Dreams and Princess Su for FredaF's Kwinungu dress, CulturShock for FredaF's Taddot bodysuit and Diamonds & Rust for Royloo's Battler outfit are all now available again this time for free.

Dunno why, but this time of year makes me feel so harried. 

I'm always looking over my shoulder, unable to really get into anything for fear of being dragged off of it to fulfill any number of random, unannounced obligations.  It interferes with my ability to work and concentrate.  At times, I become so anxious that everything feels like a provocation to frustration.  It's stupid.

I want to do all sorts of things for friends around here (online) but find myself being made to feel guilty about not being at the beck and call of the meatspace local loved ones in this complicated, inexplicable dance of I Only Want You When You Look Like You've Just Started Doing Something and the other favorite Oh We're Going To X's In 15 Minutes, Didn't Your Read The EMail (I Didn't Send You).

It's not that these dances don't happen at other times of the year.  They do.  All seasons, actually.  It's just that they're more frequent and I'm so much more sensitive to them as Thanksgiving plods on to XMas.

I've hit the HoliDaze.
